Getting your self in a NCOES Schools

So Over the past six years I have never found out how to get my self in a school like Hazmat, Armors, and Combatives Level 1. About a year a go I found a way to do this and I will share it with you. The first thing that you need to do is log on to your ATTRS. Once there you need to go to the course catalog and search what your looking for. If you are at a particular post put that state in the state block and you should be able to get a good start. Once you have done thing you will hit the search button. Now that ATTRS website will search all of the post catalog for the classes and or courses that are available to you.  There class that is almost everywhere is Armors course. so we will use that one. You will see the course and click on it to get a course list. It will have a Start date of the course, a time for arrival and a lot of other information that you can see. What you now need to do is get with your S-3 section and get a 4187 example for a regular school. You would then put in all the information that you found from the ATTRS in the 4187 and send it up the channel to get it approved. This is an easy process and If you would like more detailed information just put a request up and I will get it to you.

Getting your self in school

Two months ago I get to my new job site, and I thought to my self what a great opportunity to try to start school. I went down to the local ED center and got my TA form and got my supervisor to fill it out. Once i got that portion done i went back and found out what school I wanted to go to. I was think to my self man I am kinda scared because if I do not pass this class I will have to pay for the whole thing instead of paying just a portion. Well I figured that I would attend Emery-Riddle Aeronautical University through there World wide program. When I first started I didn't know my around any of the content and though this was a horrible idea. A week passed by and then I started my first class and thought to my self here we go. It have been 6 weeks now and I am glade that I made this step. The programs on the online learning are a great tool and I have learned a ton of information from the professors and the students as well. There are all kinds of interactive activities on line and the student write on the discussion boards about the current chapter. I am glad I took this step and I hope that you all will take it to. There s a lot of different types of schooling that you could do but dont let it pass you by take the opportunity to do it now and let Uncle Sam pay for it.

The NCO Support Channel

Today has been an interesting day. I got a call from a co worker about the work load from another post that I use to be at. When this person was talking to me I thought to my self why is the NCO support channel failing at this level and what could the individual do to make his life better. He needed a mentor in order to get back on track and put him self in a situation that would be good for himself again. His co-working at the installation is not doing what he should being lazy and not giving a crap what is going on in there work environment. I have to mention that all of these people are Junior in the job field and a lot of senior personal left with in the last 6 months. What I have to ask is WHERE IS THE NCO SUPPORT CHANNEL at?? When I was at this installation and I had another NCO in a place where he needed help or back up we collaborated and made things right but now it is an all for your self kind of place. I do not like this one bit and wish this would change for this person.
